Dutchman may not be the cheapest, but their service is EXCELLENT. The furnace was ringing and was quickly diagnosed and fixed within an hour of arrival. Will definitely be using them in the future for all maintenance work and for HVAC replacement. Update: My plumber who has 30 years experience who came in two weeks ago to fix a plumbing issue said the tech who installed the water heater did an excellent job. Our air conditioner went out on a weekend that was very hot and humid so we scheduled an appointment and they came over very quickly. Our technician was amazing! He was super knowledgeable and friendly, and he not only fixed the issue, but he thoroughly looked at any other issues that could exist And mentioned to us something about our humidifier that was extremely important information. We would’ve never known our humidifier had problems. Had he not pointed it out and we don’t even run the humidifier in the summer. We needed to replace a 34 year-old gas wall furnace in a room addition. We found that a split-unit heat pump a/c would work best due to low emissions, low noise level, and having a/c. However, we would also need electrical work done thus becoming more expensive. Dutchman explained the advantages and the installation process very clearly and answered all questions. They also recommended an electrician who did a fine job at a reasonable cost. After the job was done, the office manager informed me that she found that Naperville Electric Utility had a $600 electricity bill rebate available. I had not known about that before. She emailed the application form to me and I then applied for that successfully. In addition, I believe that there is a federal income tax credit available. When putting all that together, my quiet, low emission heat pump a/c net cost was only $270 more than just replacing the gas wall furnace with another one with no air conditioner. We are very pleased with the product and the service from Dutchman.

A paragraph is not enough to say how amazing this company is! My air conditioner tripped our circuit breaker on a Tuesday night. It was late so the Dutchman front office was closed for the day. Deciding that this was not an emergency I left a message about my problem. I received a call the next day about five minutes after eight, which is when Dutchman opens for business, an appointment had already been set up for me and someone was on the way to fix our problem, I was blown away by the responsiveness! Once the technician arrived he found that our compressor unit had failed, we went over several options and since our system was over 23 years old we decided to do a full replacement.The technician was with us for about two hours going over options, pricing and answering any and all questions that we had. Once we decided on what we wanted and agreed on the price we were delighted to find out that the work would be completed the very next day! On Thursday, three technicians arrived at our home early in the morning and got straight to work.They were with us for 13 hours and set up the house perfectly, everything looks very neat and tidy and professional, exactly what we wanted! From now on Dutchman is our go to company for anything HVAC related and they should be yours too! We were blown away with how professional, knowledgeable, and all around great the people of this company are to work with! Within two days we went from no cooling on some of the hottest days of the summer to having a state of the art system in our home! Thank you Dutchman, you guys rock!

We called Dutchman to address water from our AC that was pooling on top of our furnace. Jose was very courteous, professional and pleasant. He gave us a thorough explanation of what he believed was the cause and performed the necessary work quickly. When the problem recurred later that evening, I called Dutchman and left a message explaining the issue. I received a call from Dawn promptly the next morning, and she arranged to have Jose return to take another look and perform some additional work we had already scheduled. He was able to track down the cause and did an excellent job of explaining what was happening and why - complete with visual aids! We felt totally comfortable and had complete confidence in his expertise, and in the company's dedication to customer care. While not inexpensive (reliable HVAC work is never cheap), the costs seem reasonable and in line with other HVAC companies we've used in the past. If Jose is typical of their technicians, they are the gold standard: knowledgeable, professional and really nice people. We will definitely use Dutchman again.

A friend had recommended Dutchman, so I called them up to get an estimate on replacing my furnace and ac. They installed a new furnace at the beginning of winter 2018, when the very old furnace had died. In addition, I decided to replace the older air conditioner unit too. The gentlemen that came out were very professional, polite, and prompt. They did an excellent job. Due to the weather being cold outside, they installed the air conditioning unit but said that it should not be started until the weather gets warmer. Clint, who was one of the people who did the installation, came back and checked the fluids, the airflow, etc, and ensured that everything was working properly. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the other installers’ names because they were great too. Jamie (sp?) was the person that I had talked to at the end of last year, and she was always patient, polite, and professional too. I have had the pleasure of interacting with others too and all of the experiences have been great. I recommend their business to friends and family.

I was truly impressed with how quickly you responded to my request for assistance Friday night when my furnace stopped working. And Danny was outstanding in all that he did Friday night in an attempt to get my furnace back in service. He was open, honest, professional, knowledgeable and, perhaps most importantly, took the time to explain the problem and the next steps needed to resolve the problem.
Though nothing could be done given the weekend and the need for a new control/circuit board, he did take the time to attempt to at least get the furnace to run temporarily over the weekend.
